To chrome nails to chrome lips. If you’re looking for a new way to wear party lips then read on.
When the postman left a card saying ‘sorry we missed you’ I knew exactly what was waiting for me. Influencer kindly send me a few products to review.
I’ll get straight to the point this is what I got to try out.
And not to mention the Bourjois Metallic Lip Creams retailing at for £7.99 for 3.6ml of product.
Supernova (300) A Light Champagne Bronze.
Gilded Rose (100) A Deep Rose/Bronze.
Neon Nights (500) A Vivid Fuschia Pink.
The verdict on the foundation:
Creamy with a slight glow, the consistency is lights and watery but very nourishing on the skin. It’s has a pink undertone once blended out. As for the 16-hour promise to last, I believe that was an overstatement. I had to re-apply after 4-5 hours. The packaging is clean and simple with the focal point being on the vitamins C, E & B5. Overall it’s going to be perfect for summer it’s definitely buildable coverage and no concealer required after as its sufficient on its own.
The craze surrounding liquid lipsticks over the years has been phenomenal, bourjois has taken it to a whole new level with their metallic liquid lip.
What are they like to wear:
I avoid gloss like the plague surprisingly these lip creams are exactly what they say lip cream, cream consistency with no sticky residue. They feel really moisturising and that’s due to the plant oils and glycerin. The metallic finish isn’t quite foil like the iridescent glow catches the light and makes lips look plumper and smoother they glide on effortlessly to reveal a richly pigmented metallic gloss, the downfall is that they do transfer easily. The packaging is simple and clean you see what you’re getting and isn’t hidden the colours are true to life.
The colours s are crazy but they payoff they are seriously impressive. You get what you see inside the tube.
A fun, low-effort festive addition to your makeup bag. They’re limited edition, which kind of conveys the vibe here- these are for Christmas and new years, not necessarily for life, although they can be styled out by just dabbing a bit in the centre of the lip. At less than a tenner, once you’ve worn one on a few dance-floors, brought one along to a festival and loaned one to a teenager, you’ll have gotten your money’s worth.
The Bourjois Metallic Lip Creams retail for £7.99 for 3.6ml of product. As I mentioned above These were sent to me complimentary but as always all opinions are my own.
I’d love to hear from anyone has tried any of the product mentioned above and what you thought of them.
Happy new year!
See you again.
